This guide will help you install the latest Minecraft Forge and OptiFine.
Find the .minecraft folder[edit]
Before the player begins, they must find the .minecraft directory. This directory will not exist if the player has not touched their game at least once. This tutorial will work from within this folder.
Browse and download Minecraft Mac Mods by the Planet Minecraft community.

In many Linux file managers, dot files (files and folders prefixed with a period .) will be hidden. In Nautilus, press Ctrl+H to toggle the display of dot files.
Downloading and Installing Files[edit]
First, you should download Minecraft Forge from the official download site of Forge.
Then, open the downloaded .jar file, or run it from a command line like this:
After you have installed Minecraft Forge, download the current OptiFine version from the official download site of OptiFine.
After downloading OptiFine, run Minecraft Forge at least once. Then close it after running.
Now, put the .jar file of OptiFine under the mods folder of the .minecraft folder. (If you don't have one, create one and call it 'mods')
Running OptiForge[edit]
Now you have installed Optifine (Put Optifine in your mods folder) it's time to see if it has worked! To test it out, run Minecraft Forge normally, and you will see (hopefully) that Optfine is appearing as a mod!
You'll need Minecraft Forge for 1.12.2 to run TekTopia
Go to https://files.minecraftforge.net/ and install the Recommended Version (Use Version 1.12.2-14.23.5.2768 if you encounter issues with the Recommend Version)
Windows users can simply download and run the Windows Installer.
Select 'Install Client' and make sure the installation path matches where Minecraft is installed on your computer. For most Windows users this will be
Outlook 2016 mac calendar view. Installing Forge creates a new launch profile in the Minecraft Launcher.
Run that new profile once (You don't need to launch a world, just the game). This creates the folder you'll add mods to.
Navigate to your Minecraft installation folder. You can easily find it by launching Minecraft, going to Options->Resource Packs->Open Resource Packs Folder, then go up one level.
If you have not customized your Minecraft installation, you may also find your profile folder at %appdata%.minecraft on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft on macOS, or ~/.minecraft on Linux
Download the latest TekTopia jar file and save it to the 'mods' folder in your Minecraft folder.
