Import the SEP Cloud Mac client installation package in the Manage Software Catalog. Create a managed software delivery policy and apply it on the Mac devices that you want to protect. Check that the SEP Cloud client for Mac is installed on your devices, and the devices are successfully enrolled in SEP Cloud. Basecamp 4.7.0 only sees maps on connected device, not installed on PC. Everything went successfully and all software and maps are installed. For all I know the Mac version of Basecamp fails the same way, and is simply unable to access the Map installed on the Mac same as happens on the PC, but I don't know that for sure. I do know for.

What is Device Manager Error code 10?

This error occurs when the device manager is unable to start a hardware device such as a printer, sound or USB device.

Error codes can be extremely frustrating if you are unable to understand what they mean and how to deal with them. Our post “Fix Windows Drivers: Device Manager Error Codes” provides an explanation of these codes and what they mean.

This article focuses on Device Manager Error Code 10 (not System Errors or specific software error codes), the error code we are talking about here usually appears as “This device cannot start. (Code 10)”

This code 10 error is basically saying that Windows, for one reason or another, cannot communicate properly with one of your programs. This communication problem is usually caused by out-of-date, missing or corrupt device drivers. Error Code 10 usually relates to communication with 1394 devices which are generally connected via a Firewire or a USB cable.

To resolve Error Code 10 first check the following:

  1. Reboot your computer – this is always a first step to resolving any problems, if it works – great, if not – proceed to the next step!
  2. Have you installed all the latest Windows Updates and patches? If not, do so now and reboot your computer
  3. There are 2 values in the Windows Registry that can become corrupt and lead to Device Manager error code 10 as well as other error codes. You can delete these values to check if this is the issue (don’t forget to backup before making any registry or similar changes). Click here for more information on deleting UpperFilters and LowerFilters
  4. Did you make any recent changes or install new hardware/ software? If you can, undo this change and reboot to see if this fixes the error, if not, read on …

Update Drivers in Device Manager

The following steps will guide you through updating your Drivers to try to fix error 10 issues. If updating the Drivers does not work you will need to move on to the next solution which involves completely uninstalling and reinstalling the Drivers.

  1. Select Start > All Programs > Windows Update
  2. Right-click on My Computer
  3. Click Properties > Hardware menu tab > Device Manager
  4. Double-click the device that is causing the error (there will be a yellow triangle with exclamation mark to the left of it)
  5. Right-click the specific device and select Properties
  6. Click on the Driver menu tab and select Update Driver
  7. Windows may ask for the path of the driver in which case you will need to either insert your Drivers disk (if you have it) or download the Drivers from the manufacturers website
  8. Restart your computer

Before uninstalling or deleting Drivers, you should uninstall the device linked to the Drivers. Then uninstall and reinstall the Drivers via the Device Manager. If the stored Drivers were corrupt or out of date then this should resolve your issue with error code 10.

If you have a problem with updating or installing Device Drivers (they may be difficult to install or no longer available), you can click here to view driver update tools which will automatically update your Drivers for you. You have the option of running a Free Drivers Scan, but will have to pay a small registration fee if you wish to get automatic Driver updates.

If your iOS device is not showing in iTunes for Windows try the following:

  1. Open Control Panel > Device Manager.
  2. Unlock your device and connect it to your computer with a USB cable.
  3. Locate Universal Serial Bus Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.
It is also possible the device may show under Imaging Devices, Portable Devices, Other Devices, or as an MTB USB Device.
  4. Right-click and select Update Driver Software..
  5. Click Browse my computer for driver software.
  6. Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
  7. Click Have Disk..
  8. Click Browse..
  9. Browse to C:Program FilesCommon FilesAppleMobile Device SupportDrivers or
C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAppleMobile Device SupportDrivers
then select the usbaapl.inf or usbaapl64.inf file inside. Depending on your view options in Explorer you might not see the .inf extension. If you don't see a file to select at all in the correct folder then repair Apple Mobile Device Support or reinstall iTunes.
  10. Click Open, OK, Next, then Close in sequence to complete the installation of the driver, then exit the device manager. If Windows warns about compatibility testing or similar tell it continue anyway.

If you don't see the device at step 3 above then expand any of these sections that are listed in device manager:

  • Universal Serial Bus Controllers
  • Imaging Devices
  • Portable Devices
  • Other Devices

Now disconnect and then reconnect the device. You should hear the telltale sound of Windows device connection and one section should gain a new entry. That should be your device. It may not be labelled correctly at this stage. If you don't hear a noise suspect a damaged cable or fluff in the connection port. It may also help to connect directly to your computer rather than through a USB hub or passthrough port on another device.

The images come from Windows 7. The precise wording and look of the dialog boxes may be slightly different in other versions of Windows but the overall pattern of the steps should be the same. Mac os x homebrew for mac. The aim is to explicitly choose which driver file Windows installs rather than letting it rely on one that may have been cached at an earlier point in time.

If the above steps have not resolved things see the advice in the Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components section of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

Or lastly try rolling back to the last build of iTunes that worked for you. See iTunes installers for download links. If you're rolling back from a version that has made changes to the structure of the iTunes database then you will also need to roll back the library database using the method described in Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash. The tip includes suggestions for reintroducing any recent purchases so at worst you lose a few playcounts and/or recently created playlists.

Windows XP & Windows Vista

If you have a device running iOS 10.2 or later these require iTunes 12.5.4.42 or later, which in turn runs on Windows 7 or better. You will no longer be able to sync, backup, or restore with iTunes 12.1.3.6 however your device can be backed up to iCloud. A subscription to iTunes Match would be a possible workaround for getting new music to your device.

iOS device not showing in Windows Explorer

It is also worth noting that with iOS 10 and/or iTunes 12.5.1.26 or later it seems you need to unlock your device before connecting to USB for it to appear in Windows Explorer in order to gain access to the camera roll DCIM folder. This may also be required if you want iTunes to launch automatically on connection.
